Why we chose The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans

Choosing Taxi Charity was a natural choice for us. The London Taxi Trade’s long history and association with them goes back 70 years. Our appreciation for war veterans knows no bounds and we, as a Trade, have always offered our time for free to them. The charity has always promoted our Trade through many events they hold for military veterans and we wish for them to continue with the invaluable work they do with the very people who have made our country great.  It is an honour and a privilege to be raising funds for Taxi Charity.

Ypres - July 2019

The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans organised another trip for the and hand-picked some elite drivers to take them.  Our very own Brian (aka Bruce) Heffernan was chosen and gave up some more of his own time to drive the vets about.

Waterloo Uncovered was the venue this time, the Veterans and the drivers had a great time reliving some of the historical moments.  It’s what this charity does and what a great job they do!!

Well done Brian and all the other London Cabbies that give up their time for these trips.  You are a credit to our trade.

75th D Day Anniversary

Black Cabs giving their bit back to the Veterans on 75th Anniversary of D-Day.  The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans organised a trip to Normandy treating the Veterans like the VIPs they are.  Your donations make these trips possible.

CDK’s Brian Heffernan went to Normandy with the Veterans of the Parachute Regiment.   It’s a very emotional trip and puts life as we know it into perspective.  It brought me to tears.  I feel that it should be shared as it reinforces Lest We Forget.

It makes me even prouder that we are raising money for these men and women that have lived their whole lives with these memories.  If you feel you would like to make a donation please click the button below.  We can never repay what it has cost these Veterans but will never forget what they are and what they did.

Without you it will all be in vain.  Thank you.
