Choosing Taxi Charity was a natural choice for us. The London Taxi Trade’s long history and association with them goes back 70 years. Our appreciation for war veterans knows no bounds and we, as a Trade, have always offered our time for free to them. The charity has always promoted our Trade through many events they hold for military veterans and we wish for them to continue with the invaluable work they do with the very people who have made our country great.  It is an honour and a privilege to be raising funds for Taxi Charity.

The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans (formerly known as the London Taxi Benevolent Association For War Disabled) was formed in Fulham in 1948.  Its aim was to help war veterans, in their homes and hospitals, throughout London and the home counties by providing entertainment, outings and much needed specialised equipment.

Their aim now is to work for the benefit, comfort and enjoyment of military veterans to the best of their ability.

They rely on donations from the general public and organisations, and on volunteer London licensed taxi drivers to provide their taxis and time for free
